Following are the eight program objectives of the sociology department. After each statement, and on a scale of 1 to 7, please indicate your interest in participating in learning activities designed to achieve these program objectives.

Instruction in the major topics of sociological analysis (e.g. family, community, social change, etc.)
Instruction in the diversity of social life
Instruction in the origins of inequality, social conflict, and the relations of power in society
Instruction in the theoretical perspectives that inform sociological analysis
Instruction in the diversity of research methodologies that inform sociological analysis (e.g. survey, ethnography, discourse analysis, historical-comparative, etc.)

Instruction in how to access the current sociological literature (e.g. the use of electronic search engines to conduct literature reviews and prepare reports)

Instruction in how to develop sociological arguments and analyses in written form
Opportunities for integrating life goals and professional and career interests with a sociological perspective.
